Dr. Starace was born and raised in Mount Vernon, NY. He attended the University of Rochester where he received a Bachelors of Science degree in Environmental Science. After graduating from college he worked for TES Environmental Corp in Rochester, NY, as a project monitor. It was at this time he began volunteering at a dental office that provided care in an underserved community in Rochester, NY. In 2002, Dr. Starace began his dental education at the State University of New York at Stony Brook School of Dental Medicine where he earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in 2006. He went on to complete an Advanced Education Program in Periodontics in 2009. In 2012, Dr. Starace joined the faculty at New York University College of Dentistry as a clinical professor. There he provides clinical instruction to dental students and periodontal residents as they provide dental treatment for their patients.
Dr. Starace is board certified in Periodontology and Dental Implant surgery by The American Board of Periodontology. He focuses on the treatment of periodontal disease and implant surgery. His association with Coram-Selden Dental Group started in 2009. Dr. Starace is a member of both the American Academy of Periodontology and the Northeastern Society of Periodontists.
Outside of dentistry, Dr. Starace’s interests include: photography, cooking, and traveling.
